Durian - The King of Fruit in Malaysia

- Introduction of King of Fruit -

When come to byondlicious fruits...There are many variants of the fruit, but i hand pick durian first, it's a thorny fruit unconditionally does make us sweat with delight! and here, we've got 6 places where you can go and satisfy your cravings!

1. Restoran Sri Karak

Address: 17, Jalan 52/8, Section 52, Petaling Jaya

This Chinese restaurant in PJ State serves up halal dishes and is popular with its patrons of all races. Apart from its food, they sell durians and pastries made with durian. Their durians come from Karak, Pahang, and among the popular durian pastries are Durian Tart and Durian Bomb.

2. Donald's Durian

At the corner, near the traffic lights in SS2 (opposite the bridal shops), beside Durian SS2.

Donald often throws durian buffets, where you can have an "eat all you can session" for only RM10 (bear in mind, this only applies to durian kampung, not the hybrid or ones of special strains). But if you're looking for something special, ask Donald for The "Ice Cream" durian.

3. SS2 Durian

Right beside Donald's Durian, at the intersection of Jalan SS2/24 and Jalan SS2/75

We're not sure if SS2 Durian is a competitor of Donald's Durian, but many swear that the durians here are the bomb. They've even set up a website for their stall, at www.durianss2.com. This place has all the durians you can imagine, including udang merah, hor-lor, and tracka.

4. David Ong's Durian

A stall in USJ14, right beside the Petronas station, along Jalan USJ14/1

Perfect for Subang folks who don't want to travel all the way to PJ to get their durian. David's got up to 30 varieties of durian, and you will see a long queue by his stall, with customers waiting to get their hands on his delicious durian.

5. PJ Old Town, opposite Restoran Saviour

We hear that there is a stall here, with pretty good durians.

6. Stall along Jalan 5/46, Petaling Jaya

Run by a family, this stall is near Kavitha's Curry House, just off Jalan Gasing.

Sometimes, even when you're having dinner in a Chinese coffeeshop in PJ or Subang Jaya, someone will come up to you with a durian, just like how some try to sell belts, pens, and miscellany! Happy durian eating! Do recommend us your favourite durian haunt, if it's not listed here.

The list will go-on!
